Let's start again and build the things we used to when we were strangers in an unfamiliar place, and every second drifted by until the time we had was erased. After planning for the future we just walked away.
Now I can't keep going out with my fingers in my ears, because I don't want to hear about the way you spent last year. And I can't keep growing up if I want to go back and re-live part of the past.
I still hang on every word. Those emails you sent - did you mean what you said? I could paint a picture of the life that we had, where I would cross an ocean with the future on my back. We needed a change, but instead we threw it away.
If you were to say to me that I was wrong back then, I wouldn't remember any time when this made any sense. Even if I never see your face again, I will always be there on the day we met. And if it's life or death then I have no regrets. I had my chance.
